Cortney is amazing! When my daughter started therapy, I was one of few who could understand what she was saying. I often had to translate when someone would ask me “what did she say?” Cortney quickly identified the letter sounds that were giving my daughter the most problems and created a plan to correct them quickly. My daughter became more confident during therapy and her speech became more clear quickly. I no longer had to translate for her as others could converse with her. Following her discharge, as she would chat away with anyone and everyone, my husband would say “Cortney created a monster!” (In the best possible way!) Highly recommend!!!

Cortney Lhota is an exceptional speech/language therapist. She has been providing speech/language services to my daughter who has a very rare genetic condition called Williams syndrome. He enjoyed going to see Ms. Cortney, and she totally understood and dealt with his stalling, zoning out, and distracting behaviors. Cortney was gentle, yet firm, and she knew when to move on to something else. If one approach did not take, she was creative and resourceful and tried a different approach. Cortney made my son feel special and improved his confidence greatly. In addition to her work with my son, Cortney was absolutely terrific in communicating how to carryover therapy strategies. My son has been attending speech therapy with Cortney via Zoom for the last couple of months and we have already noticed improvements in his speech. Cortney is patient, attentive, and makes class fun – this is important since having a 4-year-old sit still in front of a computer is no easy feat. We are more than impressed with what she has been able to teach him in such a short time. We love Ms. Cortney and highly recommend her!

I would 100% recommend Cortney for speech therapy services. She was incredibly patient and attentive with my son, who was very irritable and uncooperative that day due to a bad nap. She took her time gaining his trust, and went above and beyond to engage with him, and not to cut the session short. She has such a warm and compassionate demeanor and I can completely see why kids are so drawn to her. And most importantly, she knows her stuff. She included me as part of my son’s assessment and made sure that my input was considered just as much as the actual session with my son.
