Cancellation Policy

Consistency with therapy is necessary to make real and lasting progress and receive the full benefit of treatment. Clients will receive an email reminder 24 hours before their scheduled visit. Cancellations with less than 12 hours notice and no-shows are charged a cancellation fee. Last minute cancellations on the basis of true emergencies will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. 

Physician Communication

For our private pay and private insurance clients, physicians will receive a copy of the initial evaluation and periodic updates in accordance to each discipline’s board regulations. If you wish to receive more frequent updates, please reach out to us.

For our Medicaid clients, evaluation reports and Plans of Care will be sent to physicians on a regular basis, in order to comply with state and federal regulations and to receive prior authorization for services.

Payment 

Credit, debit, and Health Savings Account cards are acceptable forms of payment. This information MUST be placed on file with our office upon initiation of services. The card on file will be charged the day services are rendered. If for any reason accounts become more than 30 days overdue, a $100 late fee will be applied.

If you require an invoice for insurance/reimbursement purposes, please let our office know, and we will provide this to you.

Treatment

Speech and language therapy services are provided in our Austin or Round Rock clinic locations, virtually (via Zoom), daycare or ABA therapy centers (dependent on therapist availability and location). Therapy sessions are 30-minutes. Services include direct therapy, weekly caregiver education, and progress updates.

Consultation

Consultations are offered as a supplement to, or, at times, instead of, individual therapy. Consultations may be in person or via phone and include: individual parent education sessions (commonly used when parents aren’t present for therapy), problem solving for situation-specific concerns (e.g., behavior management programs, community engagement planning, etc.), Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, and more. There is an additional cost associate with this type of consultation.

Comprehensive speech, language, and feeding evaluations

Evaluations are conducted to determine speech, language, feeding and overall communication skills. Appointments typically last 45 minutes to 1 hour and include formal and informal testing, clinical observations, parent/client education, and recommendations. A detailed report will also be provided within 7 days following the evaluation appointment.
